Laboratory Analysis
Soil vapor, soil, and groundwater samples were analyzed on site by Monroe Laboratories,
Inc., a Department of Health Services (DHS)-certified mobile laboratory All samples were
analyzed for BTEX, as well as TPH gas by EPA Methods 8020 and SPA Modified
Method 8015, respectively In addition to providing numerical results, the laboratory also
provided chromatographs for each positive result.
Site Cleanu / Residual Management
On completion of soil and groundwater sampling, boreholes were sealed in place with a
grout mixture of Type 11 cement with 4% pure sodium bentonite The grout was pumped
through a 1-inch diameter grouting tube positioned at the bottom of each borehole All
investigation-derived residuals were containerized in labeled, 55-gallon drums and left at
the former Cardlock gas station site for disposal by Boettcher Western Properties III, Ltd
• Qualily Assurance - Quality Control
QA/QC procedures included
• Standard laboratory instrument calibration, consistent with state and federal
standards.
• All downhole sampling equipment was steam cleaned and washed in a trisodium
phosphate (TSP) solution at the beginning of the day and after removal from each
borehole
• Background air samples were collected and evaluated with the HNu meter to
comply with the site Health and Safety Plan
• All samples were collected under the supervision of a registered civil engineer
9 Wbf194O549400ori die 5 94054900
