pcLarcnm <br /> f <br /> October 1, 1993 <br /> OCT 0 4 1993 <br /> Ms Brooke Birkie <br /> Neumiller & Beardslee ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH <br /> 509 West Weber Avenue, Fifth Floor PERMIT/SERVICES <br /> Stockton, California 95201-3020 <br /> Dear Ms Birkie <br /> SEPTEMBER 1993 QUARTERLY GROUNDWATER SAMPLING AND ANALYSIS <br /> CONDUCTED AT 4555 NORTH PERSHING AVENUE IN STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA <br /> Enclosed please find the results of the September 1993 quarterly groundwater sampling and <br /> analysis conducted at the former cardlock refueling facility located at 4555 North Pershing <br /> Avenue in Stockton, California This work was conducted in accordance with the State Water <br /> Resources Control Board Leaking Underground Fuel Tank (LUFT) and Regional Water Quality <br /> Control Board (RWQCB) Guidelines for the preliminary evaluation and investigation of <br /> underground tank sites <br /> Petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline were detected in groundwater samples collected from <br /> monitoring well MW4 at concentrations of 1 1 milligrams per liter (mg/1) Concentrations of <br /> benzene were detected in groundwater samples collected from monitoring wells MW2, MW3 <br /> and MW4 at concentrations of 7 1 micrograms per liter (µg/1), 11 µg/l and 120 µg/I, <br /> respectively The groundwater flow direction was determined to be to the northeast during the <br /> September 1993 groundwater sampling event <br /> If you have any questions regarding this report, please do not hesitate to call either of us at (5 10) <br /> 521-5200 <br /> Sincerely, <br /> 9PM M.
