ADDENDUM TO SOIL VAPOR PROBE PLAN
Procedures for Sites with Shallow Groundwater
This document is to be attached to a letter from Robert Hinchee,
EA Engineering, to Richard Reed dated September 16, 1987. The
Information within the letter fulfills the required elements of a
Soil Vapor Probe Plan. The purpose of this addendum is to detail
Sail Vapor Probe procedures in cages of sites with shallow
groundwater.
Groundwater depth is routinely established at all sites where
Soil Vapor Contaminant Assessment (SVGA) work is to be done. At
sites where groundwater is shallow (from S to 10 foot depth) ,
SVCA crews will establish groundwater depth using nearby existing
groundwater monitoring wells, the same day as the SVCA. Crews
will not allow the probes to penetrate deeper than the currently
established groundwater depth.
I
10/20/a7
