Soggy : <br /> Pursuant to your requcst during our meeting at your <br /> office yesterday (October 3 , 1988 ) we have prepared a phased <br /> contamination remediation approach for the above-ref arenced <br /> subject property. The phased approach to the remedial effort <br /> proposed for the subject property addresses bath subsoils <br /> contamination and ground water contamination . <br /> I. <br /> As you. are aware , the underground fuel storage tanks <br /> were receDtly removed from the subject property. Samples <br /> were obtained by others , and were taken nra.r the southwest <br /> canner of the tank excavation and product lines . The resu3 is <br /> of the chemical analysis conducted on those samples revealed <br /> petroleum contamination. The waste oil tank removal sample <br /> obtained near the north aide ' of the gasoline tank excavation <br /> also revealed contamination but , to a much lesser degree ( 49 <br /> Ppm) . <br /> Several ground water monitoring wells were installed ;* <br /> the subject property between 1986 and. 1988 . The ground Nater <br /> monitoring Yells trete installed in response to a product line <br /> leak which was discovered sometime in 1985 . Jome reli.minary <br /> chemical evaluation of ground water sam ples obtained from the <br /> wells was conducted in March of 1988 . A copy of the results <br /> of Tat chemilcai analysis has been included at the en.d of the <br /> text for your review. Assessment of the extent of <br /> contamiaa.tion present in ground water at; the subject_ property <br /> is currently underway. <br /> In order to effect remediation of the contamination <br /> noted at tete subject property, a three-phase remedial plan is <br /> proposed . <br />
