Chevron U.S.A.
Mage 2
Each of the wells had standing water surrounding the
casing within the well head. Two of the pvc pipes (MW-2, M19.,
7) were slightly damaged. After draining the water, the
inside of the well casing was checked for stains. Wells MW-2
and PU-6 had residual black 3iquid stains down the insides of
the well, casings.
The existing well heads were jackhammered out along with
a portion of surrounding asphalt. A properly sealed new well
head was set in place. In addition, sealing well caps were
installed in all of the wells. The new well head and the
replacement concrete were slightly raised to promote positive
drainage. Also the casings of wells MW--2 and MW-3 were
repaired by placing a pvc coupler around the well. Plates 2,
3, and 4 pictorially represent a portion of this work.
We recommend that a copy of this report be forwarded as
t follows:
Ms. Darlene Ruess
San Joaquin County Health
1601 E.
