PA Chevron U.S.A. - Page 6
i
c
1. In-situ hydraulic testing of existing monitoring well MW-6 by means of
slug-testing, The slug test will be utilized to help evaluate contaminant
plume migration, and to estimate location(s) for down gradient monitoring
well(s) . Slug testing is further described in Section 5.0 of this
proposal.
II. Installation of 4 additional ground water monitoring wells at the subject
property to include;
a) Install one down gradient well approximately 100 feet from existing
eastern property boundary
b} Install one well adjacent to the existing MW-6 well, which will be a
deepened version of the MW-6 well, for hydraulic testing and
possible future extraction.
w c) Install two additional ground water monitoring wells to the north
w and south of the tank cluster/product line area for evaluation of
lateral mirrition of contaminants.
III. Design and coordinate implementation of a pump-and treat technology air
stripping/activated carbon ground water treatment system for the subject
property.
k
V. Install a ground water monitoring well adjacent to the existing MW-2
location to be designed, tested, and implemented for ground water
extraction and treatment.
i
The stepwise approach developed for the additional investigation has been
based upon the interpretation of data from previous investigations and on-going
ground water monitoring, which in Dames & Moore's opinion suggests a trend of
'T contamination migration is occurring through typically granular aquifer materials
at a roughly estimated rate of 0.8 feet per day in a general east-northeasterly
direction. The wells to be installed at the subject property during our proposed
investigation are anticipated to be deeper than those existing monitoring wells
k
at the subject property.
D, ML',s, N1cIoae
