amount of purge is related to the well yield and aquifer recharge. Measurements will
be recorded of aquifer parameters of pH, electrical conductivity and temperature will
be made during the purge to ascertain aquifer water entry. Samples will be collected
following the purge collected for minimum headspace in properly prepared bottles
secured from the laboratory. All samples will be labeled, logged onto chain-of-
custody and packed on ice for transport to the laboratory. Well development and
sampling water will be stored on-site in sealed drums. Disposal of the water will be
provided upon receipt of chemical data. Proper disposal of the development water
will be coordinated by Wright Environmental.
Chemical Analysis
Up to 25 soil samples, and 2 water samples will be chemically analyzed. All samples
will be chemically analyzed for Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as Gasoline (TPHG) and
Benzene, Toluene, Ethyl Benzene, and Xylene (BTM), at a State-certified laboratory,
using EPA Methods 8015 and 8020. The samples will be analyzed on a normal (ten
working days) turnaround time.
Summary Presentation, Schedule and Budget
A summary presentation of field data will be prepared. The presentation will be
prepared within two to three weeks of the receipt of the chemical data. The
presentation will include boring logs, well details, and chemical analytical data.
Wright will prepare the site safety plan by the time of field activity. The school
district will be required to perform a utility clearance. Monitoring well permitting
will begin upon receiving authorization to proceed from the district.
The total estimated price for the activities described in this proposal is S13,4§0,5%
A detailed summary of the unit prices are included as Attachment A to this proposal.
Wright Environmental will coordinate to have PHS-EHD invoice the district for their
project oversight fees.
If you have any questions concerning this project, please call our Tracy office, at
833-0758.
Sincerely,
nigh Environmental Services, Inc
Lester Messina
Project Supervisor
