Vicki McCartney [EH]
From: William Little [wlittle@advgeoenv.com]
Sent: Tuesday, February 10, 2009 3:53 PM
To: Vicki McCartney [EH]
Subject: RE: Moore Truck Lines
Attachments: EHD letter.pdf; MTL Site Plan 0209.pdf
Vicki,
AGE reviewed the data from the last sampling event and determined no impact to ground water had been
documented at the well locations outside the former UST area.
Attached is site plan with the linear dimension and most recent ground water flow direction. The wells which
currently are justified for sampling are well MW-5 (down-gradient of the former UST area 30 feet)and well MW-
8 (UST area). The ground water samples should be analyzed for TPH-g and VOCs (inclusive).
The rain events, duration and amount(within the past month)will likely to be negligible on the current water
table level. The wells installed last year have the minimal amount of water required to sample. The depth to
ground was approximately 65 feet during the last quarterly event; within the well screens (well MW-1 will likely
be dry).
The sampling of the wells and monitoring of depth to ground water from the wells represents a scope which the
responsible party can fiscally manage(the site is currently vacant). If the USTCF liberates funds owned the client,
then future sampling could occur. The EHD has already comment on the necessity to remediate the site (please
refer to your letter attached).
There is no current reason to sample wells that are non-detect and outside the plume (well MW-4 up-gradient 95
feet,well MW-6 up-gradient 50 feet,MW-7 up gradient 60 feet)until a closure consideration from you office
have been issued.
AGE will be on-site in the late morning.
William Little
California Professional Geologist#7473
wlittle@advgeoenv.com
1(800) 511-9300
Advanced GeoEnvironmental Inc.
837 Shaw Road
Stockton, Califorina, 95215
1(209)467-1118 facsimile
From: Vicki McCartney [EH] [ma iIto:vmccartney@sjcehd.com]
Sent: Tuesday, February 10, 2009 3:13 PM
To: William Little
Subject: RE: Moore Truck Lines
Bill.
Nuel and I have reviewed the fourth quarter 2008 report for Moore Truck Lines and have concluded that
groundwater samples should be collected from monitoring wells MW-1, MW-5, MW-6, MW-7, and MW-8 during
the scheduled sampling event tomorrow. Based on the recent amount of rainfall, these wells should not be dry.
2/11/2009
