INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr. Joe Toste, Jr., Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE), has prepared this <br /> Remedial Action Work Plan(RAWP)for 2353 Toste Road,Tracy,California(the site).The location <br /> of the site is illustrated in Figure 1. A plan of the site is illustrated in Figure 2. <br /> The purpose of this RAWP is to summarize the preliminary investigation and evaluation of the <br /> `o subsurface release on the site, to describe the lateral and vertical extent of the impact of fuel <br /> components to soil and ground water and to provide procedures and rationale for installation of a soil <br /> �. and ground water remediation system at the site. This RAWP was prepared in accordance with <br /> guidelines established by the Regional Water Quality Control Board - Central Valley Region <br /> (RWQCB) for preliminary investigation and evaluation of underground storage tank (UST) sites. <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> The site is located approximately 200 feet southwest of the intersection of Toste Road and West <br /> Grantline Road in the western portion of Tracy, California (Figure 1). Two USTs and associated <br /> u.. piping and dispensers were removed from the site on 31 October 1996. <br /> La 2.1. SITE LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION <br /> The site is located in a commercial area of low topographic relief in the western portion of Tracy, <br /> California,adjacent to Highway205(Figure 1).A large showroom/office structure for boat sales and <br /> repair is located on the property. Structures, monitoring well and domestic well locations are <br /> illustrated on Figure 2.In addition,former dispenser island,UST and piping locations are illustrated <br /> on Figure 2. <br /> LM <br /> 2.2. UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL <br /> ,0 Two USTs were removed from the site on 31 October 1996(Figure 2). The dispensers and product <br /> line were removed during excavation of the USTs. Both tanks and associated dispenser had been <br /> utilized for gasoline. After being removed, the tanks were visually inspected and appeared to be <br /> intact, with no holes or extensive corrosion noted. <br /> Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline (TPH-g), purgeable aromatics including <br /> .� benzene,toluene,ethylbenzene and total xylenes(BTE&X)and methyl tertiary-butyl ether(MTBE) <br /> were present in each of the samples analyzed at concentrations as high as 3,400 milligrams per <br /> kilogram(mg/kg)of TPH-g,21 mg/kg of benzene,320 mg/kg of toluene, 13 mg/kg of ethylbenzene, <br /> tr <br /> Advanced GeoEnvi ron mental,Inc. <br />
