INTRODUCTION
' At the request of Mr Joe Taste, Jr , Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this
quarterly report for the property located at 2353 Toste Road, Tracy, California The site and the
surrounding area are illustrated in Figure 1 On-site structures, boring locations and monitoring well
' locations are illustrated on Figure 2
Eleven ground water monitoring wells were purged and sampled in March 2002 Background
' information is summarized in the AGE-prepared Additional Site Assessment Work Plan, dated 26
September 2000
2.0. PROCEDURES
' This report is prepared in accordance with Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board
(CVRWQCB)guidelines for investigation of underground storage tank(UST) sites The field work
was conducted in accordance with San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD)
lie guidelines
for sampling ground water monitoring wells
' 2 1 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION
On 23 March 2002, a Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in
eleven wells relative to the tops of the well casings The ground water elevations and gradient were
determined from these data(Table 1)
After recording water level measurements, disposable plastic bailers were used to purge the wells
of standing water Between 5 and 7 gallons of water (a minimum of 3 casing-water volumes per
well)were removed from wells MW 1,MW3,MW4,MW7,MW9,MW 10 and MW 11 Monitoring
well MW6 was purged of approximately 12 gallons of water and approximately 5, 4 and 2 gallons
of water were removed from wells MW2, MW5 and MW8, respectively before the wells were
pumped dry Ground water temperature, pH and conductivity were measured at regular intervals
during purging using an Oakton water analyzer Field sheets and data are included in Appendix A
Purged water was stored on-site in labeled,55-gallon Department of Transportation(DOT)-approved
' drums
' 2 2 COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
Water samples were collected from the purged wells using new disposable plastic bailers after
allowing the wells to achieve a minimum 80%recovery of the pre-purge water volume Each water
