INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr Joe Toste, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this <br /> Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation Report(PIER)for 2353 Toste Road,Tracy,California The <br /> scope of work included installation of nine soil probe boring for the collection of soil and ground <br /> water samples The location of the site is illustrated in Figure I A site plan is illustrated in Figure <br /> I2 <br /> The sampling was performed in accordance with Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control <br /> Board (CVRWQCB) and San Joaquin County Public Health Services - Environmental Health <br /> Division(PHS-EHD) guidelines for the subsurface investigation of underground storage tank(UST) <br /> sites <br /> 1 1 SITE LOCATION <br /> The site is located in a commercial/agricultural area of-%N estern Tracy, California, in San Joaquin <br /> County (Figure 1) The property is located in a highway-retail business development owned by Mr <br /> Joe Toste, Jr A Iarge showroom/office structure for marine equipment sales is located on the <br /> property The northern edge of the property lies adjacent to Highway 205 and the southern edge is <br /> Iadjacent to Toste Road <br /> 12 REGIONAL GROUNDWATER DEPTH AND FLOW DIREC PION <br /> Information obtained from monitoring wells located at 2420 Grant Line Road and 2450 Toste Road <br /> indicate that ground water depth at the site is between 6 and 10 feet below surface grade (bsg) <br /> Ground water flow direction at the Grant Line and Toste Road site is northerly, consistent with flow <br /> I direction in the Tracy area Ground water is considered to be of beneficial use and is utilized for <br /> domestic, industrial and commercial purposes <br /> 2.0. UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL <br /> Two USTs were removed from the site on 31 October 1996 (Figure 2 - Site Plan) The dispensers <br /> and product line(s) were removed during excavation of the USTs Both tanks and associated <br /> dispenser had been utilized for gasoline After removal, the tanks were visually inspected and <br /> appeared to be intact, with no holes or extensive corrosion noted <br /> IAdvanced Geo Environmental,Inc <br /> I <br />
