INTRODUCTION
At the request of Mr Joe Toste, Jr , Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this
' quarterly report for the property located at 2353 Toste Road, Tracy, California The site and the
surrounding area are illustrated in Figure 1 On-site structures, boring locations and monitoring well
locations are illustrated on Figure 2 Background information is summarized in the AGE-prepared
' Additional Site Assessment Work Plan, dated 26 September 2000
' 2.0. PROCEDURES
' Eleven ground water monitoring wells (MW 1 through MW 11) were purged and sampled on
13 December 2003 Field work was performed in accordance with guidelines issued by the Central
Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) for the investigation of underground
' storage tank (UST) sites
'. 2 1 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION
On 13 December 2003, a Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water
in wells MW1 through MW11 relative to the tops of the well casings The ground water elevations
and gradient were determined from these data (Table 1)
' After recording water level measurements, disposable plastic bailers were used to purge wells MW 1
through MW11 of standing water Approximately 6 0 to 6 25 gallons of water (a minimum of 3
casing-water volumes per well) were removed from wells MW 1 through MW5, MW7, MW9,
MW 10 and MW 11 Approximately 13 0 gallons of water were removed from MW6 and
approximately 2 gallons of water were removed from well MWS before the wells were bailed dry
Ground water temperature,pH and conductivity were measured at regular intervals during purging
' using an Oakton water analyzer Field sheets and data are included in Appendix A Purged water was
stored on-site in labeled, 55-gallon Department of Transportation (DOT)-approved drums
2 2 COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
' Water samples were collected from the purged wells using new disposable plastic bailers after
allowing the wells to achieve a minimum 80%recovery of the pre-purge water volume Each water
' sample was transferred into three 40-m1 volatile organic analysis(VOA)vials containing 0 5 ml 18%
hydrochloric acid as a sample preservative
Advanced CeoEnvironmentat,Inc
