INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr Joe Toste, Jr , Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this <br /> quarterly report for the property located at 2353 Toste Road, Tracy, California The site and the <br /> surrounding area are illustrated in Figure 1 On-site structures,boring locations and monitoring well <br /> locations are illustrated on Figure 2 Background information is summarized in the AGE-prepared <br /> Additional Site Assessment Work Plan, dated 26 September 2000 <br /> 2 0. PROCEDURES <br /> IEleven ground water monitoring wells (MW1 through MWll) were purged and sampled in <br /> July 2003 Field work was performed in accordance with guidelines issued by the Central Valley <br /> I Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) for the investigation of underground storage <br /> tank (UST) sites <br /> lie 2 1 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION <br />' On 15 July 2003, a Soltnst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in wells <br /> MW through MW11 relative to the tops of the well casings The ground water elevations and <br /> gradient were determined from these data(Table 1) <br />' After recording water level measurements,disposable plastic bailers were used to purge wells MW 1 <br /> through MW11 of standing water Approximately 5 5 to 6 0 gallons of water (a minimum of 3 <br />' casing-water volumes per well)were removed from wells MW 1,MW3,MW 5,MW7,MW9,MW 10 <br /> and MW 11 Approximately 12 50 gallons of water were removed from MW6 and approximately 10 <br /> to 3 0 gallons of water were removed from wells MW2, MW4 and MWS before the wells were <br /> 1 bailed dry Groundwater temperature,pH and conductivity were measured at regular intervals during <br /> purging using an Oakton water analyzer Field sheets and data are included in Appendix A Purged <br /> water was stored on-site in labeled,55-gallon Department of Transportation(DOT)-approved drums <br /> 1 <br /> 22 COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES <br /> 1 <br /> Water samples were collected from the purged wells using new disposable plastic bailers after <br /> 1 allowing the wells to achieve a minimum 80%recovery of the pre-purge water volume Each water <br /> i <br /> 1 <br /> 1 <br />
