i <br />' Quarterly Report - First Quarter 2003 <br /> • TRACY MARINE SALES <br />' 2353 Taste Road, Tracy, California <br />' 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br />' At the request of Mr Joe Toste, Jr , Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this <br /> quarterly report for the property located at 2353 Toste Road, Tracy, California The site and the <br /> surrounding area are illustrated in Figure 1 On-site structures,boring locations and monitoring well <br />' locations are illustrated on Figure 2 Background information is summarized in the AGE-prepared <br /> Additional Site Assessment Work Plan, dated 26 September 2000 <br />' 2.0. PROCEDURES <br />' Ten ground water monitoring wells (MW 1 through MW5 and MW7 through MW 11) were purged <br /> and sampled in March 2003 Field work was performed in accordance with guidelines issued by the <br /> Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) for the investigation of <br /> underground storage tank (UST) sites <br />' . 2 1 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION <br />' On 31 March 2003, a Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in <br /> eleven wells (MW1 through MW11) relative to the tops of the well casings The ground water <br /> elevations and gradient were determined from these data (Table 1) <br /> 1 After recording water level measurements,disposable plastic bailers were used to purge wells MW 1 <br /> through MW5 and MW7 through MW-11 of standing water Access to well MW6 was obstructed <br />' by a parked vessel and could not be sampled Approximately 6 0 to 6 25 gallons of water (a <br /> minimum of3 casing-water volumes per well)were removed from wells MW 1,MW3,MW4,MW5, <br /> MW7, MW9, MW10 and MW 11 Approximately 2 0 gallons of water were removed from well <br />' MW8 before the well was bailed dry Groundwater temperature,pH and conductivity were measured <br /> at regular intervals during purging using an Oakton water analyzer Field sheets and data are included <br /> in Appendix A Purged water was stored on-site in labeled, 55-gallon Department of Transportation <br />' (DOT)-approved drums <br />' 2 2 COLLECTION AND ANALYSTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES <br /> Water samples were collected from wells the purged wells using new disposable plastic bailers after <br />' allowing the wells to achieve a minimum 80%recovery of the pre-purge water volume Each water <br /> • <br /> 1 <br />
