INTRODUCTION <br />' At the request of Mr Joe Toste, Jr , Advanced GeoEnvironmen.tal, Inc (AGE) has prepared this <br /> quarterly report for the property located at 2353 Toste Road, Tracy, California The site and the <br /> surrounding area are illustrated in Figure 1 On-site structures,boring locations and monitoring well <br />' locations are illustrated on Figure 2 Background information is summarized in the AGE-prepared <br /> Additional Site Assessment Work Plan, dated 26 September 2000 <br /> I <br /> 2.0. PROCEDURES <br />' Eleven ground water monitoring wells(MW 1 through MW 11)were purged and sampled in January <br /> 2003 Field work was performed in accordance with guidelines issued by the Central Valley <br />' Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) for the investigation of underground storage <br /> tank (UST) sites <br />�i <br /> 2 1 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION <br />' On 03 January 2003, a Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in <br /> eleven wells (MW1 through MW11) relative to the tops of the well casings The ground water <br /> elevations and gradient were determined from these data(Table 1) <br />' After recording water level measurements disposable plastic bailers were used to purge the wells <br />' of standing water Approximately 6 0 to 6 5 gallons ofwater(a minimum of 3 casing-water volumes <br /> per well)were removed from wells MW1, MW3, MW4, MW5, MW7, MW9, MW 10 and MW11 <br /> Monitoring well MW6 was purged of approximately 13 gallons of water and approximately <br />' 3 0 gallons of water were removed from wells MW2 and MW8 before the wells were pumped dry <br /> Ground water temperature,pH and conductivity were measured at regular intervals during purging <br /> using an Oakton water analyzer Field sheets and data are included in Appendix A Purged water was <br />' stored on-site in labeled, 55-gallon Department of Transportation (DOT)-approved drums <br />' 2 2 COLLECTION AND ANALYSTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES <br /> Water samples were collected from the purged wells using new disposable plastic bailers after <br /> Iallowing the wells to achieve a minimum 80%recovery of the pre-purge water volume Each water <br />
