• •
. lb April 1998
AGE-NC Project No 96-0263
3.0. REGIONAL GROUND WATER ELEVATION
Information obtained from monitoring wells located at 2420 Grant Line Road and 2450 Toste Road
indicate that groundwater depth at the site is between 8 and 10 feet bsg Ground water flow direction
at the Grant Line site is northerly, consistent with flow direction in the Tracy area
4.0. SCOPE OF WORK
The San Joaquin County PHS-EHD has directed the investigation of the release of petroleum
hydrocarbons from the former UST system AGE proposes to install up to nine probe borings at the
site to determine the lateral extent of hydrocarbon-impacted soil in the former UST area and if
hydrocarbons have impacted the ground water at the site Additional soil boring may be advanced
based on the extent and concentration of the hydrocarbons observed
41 PROBE BORING ADVANCEMENT
iAGE proposes to initially advance_nme soil probe borings at the site to determine the lateral and
veitical extent of hydrocarbon-impne ed soil and ground water Borings will be advanced using a
Geoprobe 5400 probing unit equipped with 1 25-inch probing rods Boring will be advanced with
the follow criteria and locations
• Six borings will be advanced to a depth of 15 feet bsg, while two probe boring will be
advanced to a depth of 25 feet bsg to determine the vertical depth fo hydrocarbon impacted
to soils at the site ,.
• Two probe boring will be advanced in the former UST excavation (one 25 feet bsg)
• Three probe boring will be advanced surrounding the former UST excavation
• Two boring will be established in the product line trench and dispenser area where
significant contamination was encountered during the UST removal (one 25 feet bsg) ,/
q • Based on the Iateral extent of hydrocai bon-impacted gi ound water en.-.ountered at the site,
I two additional probe borings will be advance in the know down-gradient direction f e
UST area
• Additional soil boirng may be advanced based on the extent and concentration of the
hydrocarbons observed
•
Atli ar,ced GeoEmtronmental,Inc
