Box 388 Stockton, California 95201-0388 Subject: Work Plan to Collect Soil and Ground Water Samples 2680 North Tracy Boulevard E Tracy, California Dear Mr. Infurna: Pacific Environmental Management, Inc. (PEM), has been authorized to prepare this work plan to collect soil and ground water samples at the subject Property (Figures 1 and 2). The sampling is to be done prior to a possible real estate transaction; as far as is known, the subject Property is not an i environmental case with any regulatory agency. I Project Background } In February 1996, PEM performed a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment for the subject P Property. PEM documented the existence of a two-story'office building constructed in 1987, and associated parking and landscaped areas. Available information indicates that prior to construction b of the office building, the property was used for agricultural purposes. Aerial photographs taken between 1963 and 1980 indicate the presence of a small building apparently used as a staging area for agricultural activities. It is possible that historical agricultural uses of the property involved fueling vehicles and equipment used in connection with agricultural 'operations. Avaliable information did not confirm the presence or absence of abbveground or underground storage tanks is in the area of the former agricultural building. This work plan describes a Scope of Work intended to assess the presence or absence of petroleum constituents in soil and ground water at selected locations beneath the subject Property.
