Available information did not confirm the presence or <br /> absence of aboveground or underground storage tanks in the area of the former agricultural building. <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> _ was authorized to advance soil borings and collect soil and ground`water samples to assess the <br /> PEM g <br /> presence or absence of petroleum constituents and organochlorine pesticides in soil and ground water <br /> at selected locations beneath the subject Property. This work included the following: <br /> • Preparation of a site-specific health and safety plan. <br /> • Acquisition of applicable drilling permits from San Joaquin County. <br /> • Identification of the locations of underground utilities in the area. <br /> 4 Installation of two soil borings to 10 feet below grade using manual hand auger <br /> methods under the supervision of a licensed drilling contractor. <br /> • Collection of three discrete soil samples from each soil boring at depths of 3, 6, and <br /> 9 feet below grade for potential laboratory analysis. <br /> • Collection of a ground water sample from each soili boring through the open soil <br /> boring (wells were not constructed) using a different dedicated bailer for each <br /> sample. <br /> • Submittal of one soil sample from each boring and the ground water samples to a . <br /> state-certified laboratory for analysis of total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline <br /> (TPHg), benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX), and organochlorine <br /> pesticides. <br /> • After collection of soil and ground water samples, each soil boring was abandoned <br /> by completely filling with a mixture of Portland cement and fine gravel under the <br /> supervision of San Joaquin County personnel. <br /> • After receipt of laboratory results, this report was prepared summarizing the data <br /> collected. <br /> if <br />
