Available information did not confirm the presence or
absence of aboveground or underground storage tanks in the area of the former agricultural building.
SCOPE OF WORK
_ was authorized to advance soil borings and collect soil and ground`water samples to assess the
PEM g
presence or absence of petroleum constituents and organochlorine pesticides in soil and ground water
at selected locations beneath the subject Property. This work included the following:
• Preparation of a site-specific health and safety plan.
• Acquisition of applicable drilling permits from San Joaquin County.
• Identification of the locations of underground utilities in the area.
4 Installation of two soil borings to 10 feet below grade using manual hand auger
methods under the supervision of a licensed drilling contractor.
• Collection of three discrete soil samples from each soil boring at depths of 3, 6, and
9 feet below grade for potential laboratory analysis.
• Collection of a ground water sample from each soili boring through the open soil
boring (wells were not constructed) using a different dedicated bailer for each
sample.
• Submittal of one soil sample from each boring and the ground water samples to a .
state-certified laboratory for analysis of total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline
(TPHg), benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX), and organochlorine
pesticides.
• After collection of soil and ground water samples, each soil boring was abandoned
by completely filling with a mixture of Portland cement and fine gravel under the
supervision of San Joaquin County personnel.
• After receipt of laboratory results, this report was prepared summarizing the data
collected.
if
