1 <br />' Cone Penetrometer Testing Site Investigation - First Quarter 2001 <br /> • THREE B'S TRUCK PLAZA <br />' 14749 Thornton Road, Lodi, California <br />' 10. INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK <br /> At the request of Mr Andy Zarakam of Three B's Truck Plaza,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc <br />' (AGE)has prepared this report of findings for 14749 Thornton Road (the site), Lodi, California The <br /> report documents procedures and results for cone penetrometer testing (CPT) conducted at the site <br />' during January 2001 (first quarter) The site setting is illustrated on Figure 1 Site structures and <br /> monitoring well locations are depicted on Figure 2 <br />' The objective of this CPT investigation was to characterize and assess the vertical and horizontal <br /> extent of dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons and to characterize the geological and hydro-geological <br /> framework underlying the site This report is prepared in accordance with guidelines established by <br />' the California Regional Water Quality Control Board - Central Valley Region (RWQCB) for <br /> investigation of underground storage tank(UST) sites A summary of previous investigations at the <br /> site was included in Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation Report (PIER) dated 05 November <br />' 1997 and the Site Assessment Report dated 27 October 1998, both prepared by AGE <br /> The following is a chronology of the CPT investigation <br /> • 0 10 January 2001 - Advancement of CPT soil boring (P-10) to a depth of 121%2 feet below <br /> surface grade, collect grab water samples at selected depths <br /> a 11 January 2001 - Advancement of CPT soil borings (P-11) to a depth of 119%2 feet below <br /> surface grade, collect grab water samples at selected depths <br /> • 12 January 2001 - Advancement of CPT soil boring (P-12) to a depth of 119%2 feet below <br /> surface grade, collect grab water samples at selected depths <br /> I <br /> 2.0. CPT SOIL BORINGS <br />' On 10, 11 and 12 January 2001, three soil borings (P-10, P-11 and P-12) were advanced on-site <br /> utilizing CPT technology to characterize the geological and hydra-geological framework and to <br /> identify potential contaminant-migration pathways beneath the site <br /> Based on CPT lithologic sounding data collected at P-10, P-11 and P-12, depth-discrete "grab" <br /> ground water samples were collected on 10, 11 and 12 January 2001 by revisiting locations of CPT <br /> soil borings P-10,P-11 and P-12 CPT boring logs are presented in Appendix A, a site plan depicting <br /> Iboring locations is presented in Figure 2 <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironrnental,Inc <br />
