SCOPE OF WORK <br /> Based on the results of the previous investigations and UST removal activities, ground water at the <br />' site has been impacted The lateral and vertical extent of impacted ground water must be determined <br /> prior to the initiation of remediation The assessment activities will consist of the following tasks <br /> • Permitting and pre-field work activities, <br /> • CPT soil boring advancement, <br />' • Grab ground water sample collection and analysis, <br /> • Monitoring well installation and development, <br />' • Ground water sample collection and analysis, <br /> • Report preparation <br /> I <br /> • 3 1 PERMITTING AND PRE-FIELD WORK ACTIVITIES <br /> Applicable site assessment permits will be obtained from the PHS-EHD In addition, an update to the <br /> health and safety plan presently on-file will be prepared in accordance with Occupational Safety and <br /> Health Guidance Manual for Hazardous Waste Sate Activities (National Institute for Occupational <br /> Safety and Health Administration, U S Coast Guard and U S Environmental Protection Agency, <br /> 1985) Prior to mobilization, the monitoring well location will be clearly marked and an utility <br /> clearance obtained through Underground Service Alert <br /> 3 2 CPT DRILLING AND GRAB <br /> GROUND WATER SAMPLE COLLECTION <br /> rAGE proposes to drill three CPT soil borings at the site to define the vertical extent of hydrocarbon- <br /> impacted ground water Proposed CPT soil boring locations are illustrated in Figure 2 <br /> Based on TPH-d and MTBE contamination encountered during the previous investigation, AGE <br /> proposes CPT soil bonngs in the following locations <br /> a Between 20 to 30 feet southeast of monitoring well MW-3, <br /> • Between 220 to 230 feet southeast of monitoring well MW-3, and <br /> • Between 205 to 215 feet south of monitoring well MW-3 <br /> • <br /> Advanced GeaEavironmental,Inc <br />
