INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this quarterly report for 14749 Thornton <br /> Road (the site), Lodi, California The site setting is illustrated on Figure 1 Site structures and <br /> monitoring well locations are depicted on Figure 2 <br /> IThe objective of the work was to monitor dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations in ground <br /> water and to characterize ground water flow direction and gradient on the site This report has been <br /> prepared in accordance with guidelines issued by the California Regional Water Quality Control <br /> Board - Central Valley Region (CRWQCB-CVR) for investigation of underground storage tank <br /> (UST) sites A summary of previous investigations at the site was included in Preliminary Site <br /> Investigation and Evaluation Report - November 1996, dated 20 June 1997, prepared by AGE, <br /> ground water monitoring data acquired to date is included in the tables of this report <br /> Previous soil characteristics data obtained by a CPT investigation enabled AGE to define six <br /> informal hydrologic units (CPT Site Investigation -First Quarter 2001, dated 23 March 200 1) The <br /> informal hydrogeologic units were defined as Hydrologic Unit 1 (15-35 feet bsg),Hydrologic Unit 2 <br /> (35-60 feet bsg), Hydrologic Unit 3 (60-90 feet bsg), Hydrologic Unit 4 (90-110 feet bsg), <br /> Hydrologic Unit 5 (110 to 135 feet) and Hydrologic Unit 6 (135 to at least 150 feet bsg) <br /> The following is a brief summary of first quarter site assessment activities performed at the site <br /> • On 24 March 2003 - Depth to water measurements collected at wells MW-1 through <br /> MW-12 <br /> • On 25 March 2003 - Ground water monitoring performed at wells MW-9 (A-E), MW-11 <br /> (A-F) and the domestic water well (DW-1) <br /> • 26 March 2003-Ground water monitoring performed at wells MW-1 through MW-6,MW-7 <br /> (A-E), MW-8 (A-F), MW-10 (A-F) and MW-12 (A-F) <br /> 2.0. MONITORING AND SAMPLING PROCEDURES <br /> On 24,25 and 26 March 2003, ground water monitoring and sampling were performed at the site on <br /> ground water monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-12 and domestic water well(DW-1),monitoring <br /> well construction details are summarized in Table 1 Ground water monitoring procedures were <br /> outlined in Work Plan Addendum - October 1998, dated 14 October 1998, prepared by AGE and <br /> approved by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD)by letter dated <br /> 21 December 1998 <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br /> I <br />
