Excavation took place from three to nine feet below surface grade in selected <br /> locations beneath the product lines and dispensers. Approximately 21 tons of contaminated soil <br /> were over-excavated and disposed of at Forward Landfill in Manteca, California . <br /> • May 2005 - a soil vapor extraction pilot test was performed but the technology was not <br /> effective at removing contaminants of concern from the soil beneath the site because of the limited <br /> radius of influence and low mass removal rate . <br /> o Oxygen injection took place from April 1, 2009 to September 21, 2009, and August 6, 2010 to <br /> February 10, 2011. <br /> 6 The mass of methyl tertiary-butyl ether ( MTBE) remaining at the site is estimated to be <br /> approximately 0.07 pounds in groundwater and approximately 0. 13 pounds in soil.
