Quarterly Summary Report <br /> • Fourth Quarter 2001 <br /> Tosco#08671 <br /> 8606 Thornton Road <br /> Stockton, CA <br /> City/County ID # Stockton <br /> County San Joaquin <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> In May 1998, product Iines and dispensers were upgraded to meet 1998 EPA standards <br /> Analytical results from soil samples collected from the former product line and <br /> dispenser excavations, and pea gravel samples collected from the top of the USTs <br /> indicated the presence of petroleum hydrocarbons in soil beneath the site During <br /> product line and dispenser upgrade activities, approximately 21 tons of petroleum- <br /> impacted soil was over-excavated from the site and disposed of at Forward Landfill <br /> In January 1999, four groundwater monitoring wells (MW-1 through MW-4) were <br /> installed at the site Quarterly groundwater monitoring is ongoing First quarter 2001 <br /> groundwater monitoring results report methyl ter -butyl ether(MtBE) in two of the <br /> • wells at a maximum concentration of 838 ppb (MW-1) <br /> RECENT QUARTER ACTIVITIES (Fourth Quarter 2001) <br /> 1 Prepared and submitted quarterly summary report <br /> 2 Performed quarterly groundwater monitoring and sampling, coordinating sampling <br /> with adjacent service stations <br /> NEXT QUARTER ACTIVITIES (First Quarter 2002) <br /> 1 Perform quarterly groundwater monitoring and sampling, coordinating sampling <br /> with adjacent service stations <br /> 2 Submit Site Investigation Report <br /> 3 Perform work as described in the "Work Plan for Additional Site Assessment, Well <br /> Survey, and Site Conceptual Model" <br />
