Fuel was found at the diesel STP sump, on both side of the saddle, that would total approximately a
cup, insufficient amount to trigger the liquid detection sensors. An absorbent pad was placed down into
the liquid by the technician to confirm it was diesel. Approximately less than one gallon of liquid was
removed from vent sump by technician. No liquid was observed in the 91 STP but can see old residue of
where fuel would have settled.
Several times, Gettler Ryan technicians had to remove liquid from vent, 91 STP and diesel STP sumps.
-Work order ticket#9921039, date 013014, technician Alex C, had documented "Removed liquid in vent
sump and dsl STP. Found to be condensation/ rain water."
-Work order ticket#C203074, date 012914, technician Wes Morrison, had documented "Removed liquid
from Diesel STP and premium STP & vent sump"
-Work order#9901137, date 073013, unknown technician, receipt was documented "water in sump of
vent"
-Work order#9902495, date 072513, technician M. Pratt, had documented "pumped out liquid out diesel
STP sump"
All primary containment must be impervious to the liquid or vapor of the substance contained.
Immediately have a properly licensed, trained and certified contractor replace or repair the failed piping
under permit and inspection of EHD. Ensure 91 STP, diesel STP and vent sumps are liquid tight and find
source of leakage. Diesel flex hose was replaced back on April 2013. If the failed component can't be
replaced immediately, there is a possibility that the 91 and diesel UST system maybe red tagged to
prevent fuel inputs.
314. The ATG/ tank probes used as audible/visual alarm on the overfill prevention system is not
currently functional on the whole UST system. No audible & visual alarm was heard externally although
the Veeder-Root system was able to display the overfill alarm on the display & printout. The tester on
the external box device was able to produce the audible sound. The blown fuse inside the Veeder-Root
module was replaced.
- Probes retested at 90% of tank capacity, passed with audible & visual alarms.
ALL EHD STAFF TIME ASSOCIATED WITH FAILING TO COMPLY BY THE ABOVE NOTED DATES WILL BE BILLED AT THE CURRENT HOURLY RATE.
THIS FACILITY IS SUBJECT TO REINSPECTION AT ANY TIME AT EHD'S CURRENT HOURLY RATE.
Inspector: Receive y Title
EHD 23-0 Rev 04/19/12 P ge 3 UST INSPECTION REPORT
