Please be advised that the following issues
have been addressed:
Fuel was found at the diesel STP sump, on both side of the saddle, that would total
approximately a cup, insufficient amount to trigger the liquid detection sensors. An
absorbent pad was placed down into the liquid by the technician to confirm it was diesel.
Approximately less than one gallon of liquid was removed from vent sump by technician. No
liquid was observed in the 91 STP but can see old residue of where fuel would have settled.
Several times, Gettler Ryan technicians had to remove liquid from vent, 91 STP and diesel
STP sumps. All primary containment must be impervious to the liquid or vapor of the
substance contained. Immediately have a properly licensed, trained and certified contractor
replace or repair the failed piping under permit and inspection of EHD. Ensure 91 STP, diesel
STP and vent sumps are liquid tight and find source of leakage. Diesel Flex hose was
replaced back on April 2013. If the failed component can't be replaced immediately, there is a
possibility that the 91 and diesel UST system maybe red tagged to prevent fuel inputs. On
February 19, 2014, BP repair and testing vendor, Gettler-Ryan, inspected and cleaned the gaskets
on the 91 and Diesel STP sump lids to ensure a tighter seal. On March 6, 2014, Gettler-Ryan
returned to the site and performed additional inspections of the vent sump, and 91 and Diesel STP
sumps. The vent sump lid was inspected. bolt holes were repaired, and new bolts and washers
were installed to ensure a tighter seal. Repairs requiring a permit were determined necessary for
the 91 and Diesel STP sumps. On March 10, 2014, Gettler-Ryan submitted a permit application to
SJCEHD for the repairs and adjustments needed to the piping in the 91 and Diesel STP sumps. On
March 17, 2014, Gettler-Ryan returned to the site and performed the permitted repairs and
adjustments to the piping in the 91 and Diesel STP sumps. Upon completion of the work, Gettler-
Ryan reported no visible leaks in the 91 product line. In addition, a pressure test was conducted on
the Diesel product line with passing results, which was confirmed in your March 17, 2014 re-
inspection report. Copies of the work orders associated with all vendor work mentioned above, as
well as your March 17, 2014 re-inspection report, are attached for your review and records.
