New Well Permit Requirements—Rev: 12/28/99 Page 3 <br /> clearance, Reclamation Board approval if the well is located near a floodplain, <br /> etc. <br /> 012. Inspections -- Once a site has been selected for the proposed well, contact the <br /> Stockton district office and submit Plot Plans required in Item 5 in advance for <br /> site approval. After the well has been drilled, the pump and other equipment <br /> installed and prior to the well being added to the system, the purveyor must <br /> arrange for a field inspection of the well by a member of the DWFOB staff. <br /> 0 13. Initial Water Quality Monitoring Requirements - <br /> OEhemical Quality — At least one sample for all general mineral, general <br /> physical, and Inorganic chemicals including nitrate and nitrite. In addition, <br /> first of four consecutive quarterly analyses for all regulated and unregulated <br /> Volatile Organic Chemicals (VOCs) and Synthetic Organic Chemicals (SOCs) <br /> per Title 22. A quarter is generally separated by three months. Additional <br /> monitoring may be required. <br /> ©/Radioactivity — First of four consecutive quarterly analyses for gross alpha. <br /> Analysis for uranium is required if gross alpha activity exceeds 5 pCi1L, <br /> inclusive of the counting error. <br /> ❑UBacteriological Quality — At least two current samples of the raw (collected <br /> prior to chlorine injection) well water analyzed for total coliform (T.C_) and E. <br /> Coli/fecal coliform (if T.C. Positive) collected on consecutive days.
