'i L INFORMATION TO BIDDERS L L (a) General Information: The City Clerk of the City of Tracy, California, will receive at the City Hall in said City until 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, May 3, 2000, sealed bids for work as described in the Notice Inviting Bids. Any bids received after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids will be returned to C the bidder unopened. (b) Description of Work: In general, the work to be done consists of(1) drilling and equipping a new ion well and multiple completion nested monitoring well that includes installing the casings and product p p (nested) g gravel packs, electrical components, piping and related site work, development and testing; (2) destruction of three abandoned production wells that includes filling, sealing, .and capping; (3) destruction of two well pump houses and their related appurtenances, along with any other items of work that are required by law, the project plans, Standard Specifications, or these special provisions. The new production well will be at the Lewis Manor Well site, located at 902 W. Twelfth Street, at Lamb Alley, near the intersection of Coolidge Avenue, in Tracy, CA. The sites for well destruction are located at: 1 L 1) Lewis Manor Well at 902 Twelfth Street, at Lamb Alley 2) Ball Park Well at 1960 Tracy Boulevard, slo Grant Line Road 3) Corporation Yard Well at 520 Tracy Boulevard L The sites for Well Pump House Demolition are at: 1) Pump Station - Lewis Manor Well at 902 Twelfth Street 2) Pump Station - Corporation Yard Well at 520 Tracy Boulevard (c) Contract Documents and Project_Sit_e_LsJ: The bidder is required to examine carefully the project site(s) and contract documents for the work contemplated and it will be assumed that the bidder has investigated and is satisfied as to the conditions to be encountered as to the ;character, quality, and j quantities of work to be performed and materials to be furnished,..and as to the requirements of the specifications, the special provisions, and the contract. It is mutually agreed.,,that submission of the bid shall be considered prima facie evidence that the bidder has made such examination. L (d) Proposal Information: All bids must be made upon blank forms, which are bound into these specifications, as a second set included for use as the actual bid package. All bids must give the prices, both in writing and figures, and must be signed by the bidder, with the address of the legal Lentity of the bidder. If the bid is made by an individual, his name and post office address must be shown. If made by a firm or partnership, the name and post office address must be shown. If made by a firm or partnership, the name and post office address of each member of the firm or partnership must be shown. If made by a corporation, the bid roust show the name of the state under the laws of which . the corporation was chartered and the names, titles and business addresses of the president, . secretary and treasurer. r shall submit with his bid on the forms provided, the name and address of each Each bidder p , subcontractor performing over one-half percent (Y2%) of the total value of the project, and the portion of the work which each subcontractor will do, together with the listing of equipment suppliers. If the bidder fails to name the subcontractors in his proposal, he shall be deemed to have agreed to perform such portion of the work himself and shall not be permitted to subcontract said portion of the work without previous written permission of the City.
