Quarterly Monitoring Report- Third Quarter 2015 Page 8 ' OAK RIDGE WINERY WKA No. 6364.08 August 25, 2015 8.0 SUMMARY The third quarter 2015 groundwater monitoring and sampling activities were conducted at the Oak Ridge Winery on August 4, 2015. Activities consisted of measuring water levels, collection of groundwater samples, and analysis of the groundwater samples for constituents of concern. ' Groundwater elevations (GWE) based on the DTW measurements ranged from +25.10 feet msl ' in MW2 to +41.79 feet msl in MW3. The direction of groundwater flow on the date of monitoring event was predominantly to the southwest and had a calculated hydraulic gradient of 0.022. ' Nitrate was not detected at a concentration exceeding its laboratory reporting limit in any groundwater sample collected from the monitoring wells during the third quarter of 2015. Groundwater pH fell below the specified EPA secondary MCL threshold in one of the four water samples (MW4) with a pH of 6.46. All other parameters were shown to be within specified groundwater criteria. TKN, ammonia, and potassium were detected in all samples collected. 1 Although TKN, ammonia, and potassium do not have specified goals, their detection in the water samples is indicative of treated discharge from the process wastewater treatment system entering the ground water system. TDS trends appear relatively stable and flat in monitoring wells MW1, MW2, and MW4. MW3 saw a decrease in TDS and TKN from the previous quarter of monitoring. Overall, the average concentrations of the analyzed constituents fell below their ' water quality criteria. The single-parameter ANOVA analyses indicated a significant difference between the mean ' concentrations for constituents detected in groundwater samples collected from each monitoring well. The differences between F and F-crit validate the conclusion that ammonia, potassium, TKN, and TDS are not uniformly distributed in shallow groundwater. The single-parameter ANOVA analyses indicated no significant difference between the historical and current reported concentrations of pH and nitrate. i 9.0 LIMITATIONS ' The statements and conclusions in this report are based upon the scope of work described above and on observations made on the dates of our fieldwork. The work was performed using a degree of skill consistent with that of competent environmental consulting firms performing similar work in the area. No recommendation is made as to the suitability of the property for any ' purpose. The results of our investigation do not preclude the possibility that materials currently, or in the future, defined as hazardous are present on the property.
