MONITORING AND REPORTING, GRAM NO. 5-01-172 • 3 <br /> EAST-SIDE WINERY DBA OAK.1E VINEYARDS <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> GROUNDWATER MONITORING <br /> Groundwater samples shall be collected from each groundwater monitoring well in accordance with the <br /> approved Groundwater Sampling Workplan. Each groundwater monitoring well shall be monitored at <br /> least for the following: <br /> Constituents Units Type of Sample Sampling and Re-porting Frequency <br /> Groundwater Elevation 0.01 feet Measurement Quarterly <br /> Nitrate as Nitrogen mg/1 Grab Quarterly <br /> Total Kjeldahl Nitrogen mg/l Grab Monthly <br /> Total Dissolved Solids mg/1 Grab Quarterly <br /> Potassium mg/l Grab Quarterly <br /> Ammonia mg/l Grab Quarterly <br /> pH pH units Grab Quarterly <br /> Standard Minerals' mg/l Grab Annual <br /> Trihalomethanes2 µg/1 Grab Annual <br /> ' Standard Minerals shall include the following compounds: Calcium,Magnesium, Sodium, Chloride,Nitrate, Sulfate, <br /> Total Alkalinity(including alkalinity series), and Hardness. <br /> 2 Trihalomethanes to be performed by EPA Method 8010 or other analytical method approved by Board staff. <br /> LAND APPLICATION MONITORING <br /> Application of wastewater to the land application area shall be monitored to prevent overloading the <br /> area with wastewater constituents which can cause objectionable odors and/or groundwater <br /> degradation. The following parameters shall be calculated and reported in the monthly monitoring <br /> reports. <br /> .Constituents Units Type of Sample Reporting Frequency <br /> Application Area acres Measured . Monthly <br /> Hydraulic Loading Rate gallons/acre-day Calculated Monthly <br /> BODS Loading Rate lbs/acre-day Calculated' Monthly <br /> Total Nitrogen Loading Rate lbs/acre-day Calculated Monthly <br /> 1 BODS loading shall be calculated using the daily applied volume of wastewater, estimated <br /> daily application area, and applicable results of effluent BODS. <br /> 2 Total nitrogen loading rates shall be calculated using the daily applied volume of wastewater, <br /> estimated daily application area, and the most recent results of total nitrogen. <br /> In addition, the Discharger shall maintain a log of discharges to the land application area and <br /> landscaped area. Notations shall record which check is receiving wastewater, observations of ponding <br /> water, soil clogging, odors, insects, or other potential nuisance conditions. The notations shall also <br /> document any corrective actions taken. A copy of the entries made in the log during each month shall <br /> be submitted along with monthly monitoring reports. <br />
