<br /> Lima Ranch, 13436 Thornton Road,Lodi, California
<br /> Dear Mr. Coldani:
<br /> Genesis Engineering&Redevelopment, LLC ("GE&R") is pleased to submit this letter report,
<br /> which documents the reconnaissance groundwater and surface water sampling conducted at the
<br /> Lima Ranch Facility, located at 13436 Thornton Road, in Lodi, California. The reconnaissance
<br /> sampling was conducted on October 11 and October 13, 2008, consistent with the work scope
<br /> outlined in April 28,2008 Site Characterization Work Plan Addendum,dated as revised by the
<br /> . Declaration of Victor Fisher, dated August 13,2008,with the following exceptions:
<br /> 1. The work scope was reduced from 14 exploratory borings to 8 exploratory borings,the
<br /> locations of which are shown on Figure 1;
<br /> 2. Three of the exploratory borings were advanced using direct push technology (B-1, B-2,
<br /> and B-6) and five of the exploratory borings were advanced using auger drilling
<br /> technology(B-3, B-4, B-5,B-7, and B-8); and
<br /> 3. Two surface water samples were collected, one from the holding pond, and one from the
<br /> ditch south of the pond.
<br /> Two surface water and ten reconnaissance groundwater samples (eight samples and two
<br /> duplicate samples)were collected and analyzed for nitrate as N,nitrate as NO-3,nitrite,
<br /> ammonia,phosphate, calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium,total dissolved solids ("TDS"),
<br /> sulfate, bromide, chloride, and fluoride by McCampbell Analytical, Inc., located in Pittsburg,
<br /> CA. Selected samples were also analyzed for nitrogen isotope ratio by Isotech Laboratories,
<br /> Inc., located in Champaign, Illinois. Three split samples were submitted to FGL Environmental
<br /> in Stockton, California and analyzed for nitrate as NO-3 and ammonia.
