Drainage Ditches
4. Reference Sites—Pixie Slough
5. Reference Sites—Up-gradient Farm Pond
For most regimes, sample locations and numbers of samples will be based determined based
on hydrologic features, potential sediment inputs, access constraints, and deposition
conditions.
2.5 Task 5—Site Investigation Report
A report summarizing the results of the Site Characterization activities associated with this
Work Plan will be prepared. The report will include tables, maps, figures,boring logs,
geologic cross-sections, and appendices summarizing the data collected during the field
activities. The report will include:
1. A delineation of the groundwater impacts beneath operational areas at the Site
and off-site; and
2. An assessment of impacts related to point and non-point source discharges.
3.0 FIELD ACTIVITIES
This section contains the procedures that will be used to collect the groundwater, surface
water, and sediment samples and collect information on soil lithology.
3.1 Pre-Field Activities
The following pre-field activities will be conducted prior to advancing the reconnaissance
borings:
1. Obtaining access agreements from property owners for the proposed boring
locations—the exact locations of the proposed boring locations will be based,
in part, on field constraints,utility locations, and other subsurface obstructions;
2. Marking and clearing proposed boring locations of subsurface utilities and
other obstructions using a subsurface locator company;
Lima Ranch 6 of 17
Site Characterization Work Plan Addendum
April 2008
