P12ETAlYK CLosvxE srrE�►;SFSS_hCKNT <br /> 3725 Tracy Boulevard,Tracy,CA <br /> Delta Project No. 40-89-012 <br /> Page 2 <br /> 142 Scolpe of Work <br /> To accomplish these objectives, the following work is proposed: <br /> e Advancing ten exploratory soil borings with a holIow-stem auger drilling rig <br /> at the Iocations identified on Figure 2. <br /> Collect soil samples in a modified California split-spoon sampler for <br /> description classification purposes, trace gas screening, and chemical <br /> analysis by a state-certified laboratory. <br /> e Using a photoionization detector (PID) to screen soil samples for total <br /> organic vapors. <br /> Submit selected soil samples for chemical analysis. <br /> Analyze selected sail samples for total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) by U.S. <br /> Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Method 8015. Those samples with TPH <br /> concentrations exceeding 100 parts per million (ppm), will be analyzed for <br /> benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX) by EPA Method 8020. <br /> e Prepare a factual report of our findings with recommendations for soil <br /> management during the tank closure. <br /> 2.0 BACKGROUND INFORMATION <br /> 2.1 Site Setting <br /> The site is currently an operating Shell service station. The site is Iocated at 3725 <br /> Tracy Boulevard in Tracy, California (Township 2 South, Range S East, Section 17). <br /> CFigure 1 illustrates the location of the site relative to the surrounding area. Records <br /> of the San Joaquin County Assessor's Office indicate that this is Parcel No. 211-460- <br /> 30, and that the land is owned by Shell Oil Company. Shell's regional representative is <br /> Mr. Darrell Robinson, Senior District Engineer, Pacific-Northwest District, Concord, <br /> California. <br /> The area surrounding the site is flat and situated in a commercial and residential area. <br /> The site is Iocated immediately north of Interstate 205 at the Tracy Boulevard exit. <br />
