iSurface Water Sampling Procedure
' The samples were collected with a long-handled dipper. The sample containers were
identified and labeled with a unique designation and placed in a chilled ice chest for transport
to the laboratory.
' All non-disposable sampling equipment was decontaminated using an Alconox® solution
and rinsed with a bleach solution before and between uses. Disposable gloves were used by
the geologist to collect all samples and were changed between each sample.
A chain of custody document, listing all samples collected, accompanied the samples from
field to laboratory, thereby providing a means to track the movement of the samples and
ensure their integrity.
' Field measurements were made at the time of sample collection for Temperature, pH,
Specific Conductance (EC) and Dissolved Oxygen (DO). The field parameters are included
in the field data log sheets of Appendix C.
