Lacquer thinner, Diacetcne Alcohol, and Isopropryl Alcohol are used up in <br /> process within the plant. No disposal is made of these chemicals. <br /> 3. The photographic developer is disposed in the sewage after it has lost its <br /> working strength. The fixer is saved and picked up by a salvage company <br /> that reclaims the silver content. <br /> 4. The 1,1,1, Trichloroethane is used to strip the etching resist from the <br /> aluminum sheets. The 1,1,1, Trichloroethane is purified and reclaimed in <br /> a solvent recovery still. The sludge that is created by the etching resist <br /> has similar characteristics to paving asphalt and is used in the same manner <br /> to pave undeveloped traffic areas in the surrounding industrial ccaplex as <br /> well as repairing breaks in the existing paved areas. <br />
