Box 806 LUSTRE-CAL AND THE CITY OF LODI Protection <br /> Sacramento, CA <br /> 95812-0806 Dear ladies and gentlemen: <br /> The Regional Groundwater Remediation Unit (RGRU) <br /> of the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) <br /> has calculated past cost shares (Table 3) for Guild <br /> Cleaners (Guild) , Busy Bee Laundry and Dry Cleaners <br /> (Busy Bee) , Lustre-Cal Nameplate Corporation (Lustre- <br /> Cal) , and the City of Lodi (City) . As shown in <br /> Table 3 , Guild' s past cost is $188,585 .22, Busy Bee is <br /> $130 , 067.49, Lustre-Cal is $191, 316 .57, and the City is <br /> $213 , 031 .12 . <br /> References and rationales used to calculate cost <br /> shares for each responsible party (PRP) are as follows : <br /> 1 . DTSC' s August 13, 1996 invoices sent out by <br /> Mr. Larry Hoskins of DTSC' s Cost Recovery Unit . The <br /> invoices contain itemized costs including direct labor <br /> costs, indirect labor costs, travel costs, contract <br /> costs, and bond interests incurred at Guild, Busy Bee, <br /> Lustre-Cal sites, the City of Lodi, and Lodi <br /> Groundwater Site; from July 1987 through March 1996 . <br /> These itemized costs (except for contract costs) are <br /> summarized in Table 1 . <br /> The reason for not including the contract costs <br /> shown in the invoices in Table 1 is explained below in <br /> item 2 . <br /> 2 . The contract costs incurred at Guild, Busy Bee, <br /> and Lustre-Cal sites have been re-calculated based on <br /> task orders issued and invoices received from the <br /> contractors . The task orders contained information on <br /> the tasks to be performed and allocated budgets. The <br /> contractors' invoices show the types of work completed <br /> and associated costs . <br /> The contract costs incurred at the Guild, Busy <br /> Bee, and Lustre-Cal sites were re-calculated to <br /> allocate the costs for groundwater sampling at the <br /> deeper aquifer to the City.
