Tedlar bag rupture during transit to the laboratory is possible and the sampler assumes full <br /> liability. <br /> 4.2.2 Step-by-Step Procedures for Tedlar Bag Sampling (Pump) <br /> Note: These procedures are for a typical stationary source (e.g., SVE system) sampling application; <br /> actual. field conditions and procedures may vary. See additional sampling considerations in Section <br /> 5.3 for sampling soil gas or landfill gas. <br /> Before you get to the field: <br /> 1. Verify contents of the shipped package (e.g., chain-of-custody, Tedlar bag, and tubing/fittings— <br /> if requested). <br /> 2. Verify pump cleanliness and operation (Air Toxics Ltd. does not provide pumps). <br /> When ready to sample: <br /> 3. Purge sample port. <br /> 4. Attach new Teflon tubing from sample port or probe to low flow rate pump. <br /> 5. Purge tubing. <br /> 6. Fill out Tedlar bag sample tag. <br /> 7. Attach additional new Teflon tubing from the pump outlet to the Tedlar bag valve. <br /> 8. Open Tedlar bag valve. <br /> 9. Collect sample(FILL NO MORE THAN 2/3 FULL). <br /> 10. Close Tedlar bag valve by hand tightening valve clockwise. <br /> 11. Return Tedlar bag in boxes provided(DO NOT CHILL). <br /> 12. Fill out chain-of-custody and relinquish samples properly. <br /> 13. Place chain-of.-custody in box and retain pink copy. <br /> 14. Tape box shut and affix custody seal (if applicable) across flap. <br /> 15.
