reported in groundwater samples include TCE, and to a lesser degree PCE, 1,1-Dichloroethene
(I,1-DCE), and 1,I-Dichloroethane (1,1-DCA). Maximum concentrations of TCE
and PCE were reported in borings B-3 and B-1, respectively, during the Phase I RI(Geomatrix,
2006).
In the northernmost location(B-5) chlorinated VOCs were not reported above the analytical
method detection limits in any of the groundwater samples collected(Figure 5). In the central
western portion of the LNPA, groundwater samples collected from investigative location B-4
reportedly did not contain concentrations of TCE and PCE above analytical method detection
limits. Low concentrations of toluene, m,p-xylene and total xylenes were reported at this
location at a depth of 87 ft bgs (Geomatrix 2006).
In the eastern area of the LNPA, WE was reported in groundwater samples collected from
investigation location B-3 at depths of 81 ft bgs, 250 ft bgs and 279 ft bgs (Geomatrix, 2006). In
addition, PCE was reported at 81 ft bgs. Maximum concentrations of TCE and PCE at
investigation location B-3 were reported at 79 (µg/1) (81 ft bgs) and 2.8 µg/1 (81 ft bgs),
respectively. In addition, low concentrations of other VOCs (bromomethane, 1,1-DCA, and
1,1,1-TCA)were detected in groundwater samples collected from investigation location B-3
(Geomatrix, 2006).
At the southern portion of the LNPA, concentrations of TCE and PCE were reported in
groundwater samples collected from investigation locations B-1 and B-2 at various depths
(Figure 5).
At investigation location B-1, TCE was detected in groundwater samples collected from depths
of 95 ft bgs and in various groundwater samples collected from depths ranging from 218 ft bgs to
401 ft bgs (Geomatrix, 2006). The maximum TCE concentration at location B-1 was reported at
30 µg/1 (255 ft bgs). In addition, PCE concentrations at location B-I were reported at depths of
95 ft bgs, 255 ft bgs and 324 ft bgs with the maximum PCE concentration at 3.2 µg/1 (95 ft bgs).
M ain\D:AEnvironmenta1\LN CV\10152007.wpd 24
