' VVZ! <br /> I N c <br /> 40 QUALITY ANALYSIS/QUALITY CONTROL PROCEDURES <br /> ' <br /> 41 Standard Procedures <br /> Standard QA/QC procedures are performed, in accordance with SW 846 and project <br /> ' requirements Typical QA/QC measures will include sampling train vacuum tests (I e , <br /> leak detection test), purge volume versus contaminant concentration tests to optimize <br /> ' purge volumes (onsite laboratory required), equipment blanks from the vacuum <br /> sampling system, and duplicate samples from selected sampling intervals <br /> 42 Quality Assurance Samples <br /> Analyses will also be performed on quality assurance samples These samples are <br /> ' taken to confirm the integrity of field samples and laboratory data and form an integral <br /> part of the sampling plan These samples are obtained on a regular frequency, as <br /> described below The time, date, location, and procedure used to collect all quality <br /> assurance samples will be documented on the soil gas sampling data sheets <br /> ' Trip, ambient air, and equipment blanks are used during sampling programs to detect <br /> contamination introduced through sampling procedures, external field conditions, any <br /> 1 potential container preparation, sample storage, or the analytical process <br /> Trip blanks are prepared at the same time and location as the containers for a <br /> particular sampling event The trip blank container is filled with zero-source air <br /> ' (nitrogen) and accompanies the samples collected in the field to the laboratory One <br /> trip blank is included per sampling event <br /> One duplicate soil gas sample will be collected for every ten to twelve soil gas <br /> ' samples <br /> APPENDIX III <br /> ' 12270020 025 12 <br />
