WZI iNc <br /> ' 60 ONSITE ANALYTICAL LABORATORY PROCEDURES <br /> ' <br /> 61 Analysis <br /> 1 <br /> WZI will ensure that the onsite mobile analytical laboratory contractor will make three <br /> ' standards for each compound, with certified pure standards, methanol, and water <br /> The daily working standards shall be in the range of expected concentrations, and <br /> ' within the linear range of the instrument Water used for standards will be analyzed <br /> for purity An initial three point calibration will be run at the start of the project and a <br /> ' verifying midpoint calibration at the beginning of each analytical sequence A three <br /> point calibration will be run in the event the continuing calibration failed to meet the <br /> ' percent deviation requirements After every tenth non QC soil gas sample, a standard <br /> having a similar detector response to that observed during analysis of field samples <br /> ' will be run <br /> Prior to sampling each probe, the sampling device used for soil gas sample collection <br /> ' will be filled with the ultra high purity nitrogen gas The nitrogen gas is then injected <br /> directly into the gas chromatograph This sample injection serves as a blank to detect <br /> ' contamination of the syringe to be used for sampling Ambient air shall be run through <br /> the entire sampling system from probe (aboveground) through the adaptor to collect <br /> ' a system blank sample at the start of each day, and before reusing any sampling <br /> system component <br /> Laboratorycontractor shall clean syringes or other sampling ng devices and adapters <br /> ' with Alconox type detergent at the end of each day <br /> ' One soil gas sample per day shall be collected in a one liter Tedlar bag, VOC bottle <br /> or other sterile container for analysis on a Gas Chromatograph (not mobile) to confirm <br /> ' mobile identification of compounds This sample will be referred to as the split <br /> sample <br /> APPENDIX 111 <br /> ' 12270020 025 15 <br />
