1 <br /> Introduction <br /> ONSITE Env tronmental Laboratories Inc Revision 0 <br /> Quality Assurance Plan February 15, 1996 <br /> Page I of 7 <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> This Quality Assurance (QA) Manual sununarizes the polictes and procedures in place at ONSITE <br /> ' Environmental Laboratories, Inc (ONSITE)used to provide analytical chemistry services for <br /> clients This manual provides guidance to ONSITE associates in fulfilling their responsibilities, and <br /> serves as a statement to external parties of ONSITE's commitment to quality The purpose of this <br /> plan is to assure that a consistent quality of data is being reported in support of the laboratory's <br /> responsibilines as an environmental chemistry laboratory serving both government agencies and <br /> private sector concerns <br /> ' Implementanon of the Quality Assurance Pian is the responsibility of all ONSITE associates <br /> Management at every,level is charged with the commitment, duty and authority to insist that these <br /> responsibilities are met, and that the pnriciples and practices of the program are followed and <br /> implemented <br /> All data reported by ONSITE are "definitive" lab results Standardized quality control and <br /> documentation is in place, which provides verifiable results To venfy that the Quality Assurance <br /> Program has been successfully implemented, the laboratory is reviewed by the Quality Assurance <br /> Advisor, who is directly responsible to the Laboratory Director and President In addition, the <br /> laboratory welcomes audits by vanous regulatory authorines and other outside agencies <br /> ' Quality Goals and Objectives <br /> Goal To provide data which is timely, cost-effective, and of a quality required by the client <br /> ONSITE recognizes that the data generated by our staff must be legally defensible This is ensured <br /> by a QA/QC program which monitors all phases of data generation, ranging from sample acceptance <br /> to sample handling, and from the actual analysis to the reporting of data <br /> ' Specific objectives of the QA program are <br /> > To improve the quality level for all operations within the company, using a detailed <br /> QA system to maintain and improve quality standards for analytical data <br /> ' > To update t istnunents, standard methods, and procedures, whenever possible, to <br /> "state-of-the-art" technologies <br /> ' > To validate laboratory methodologies by participation in external laboratory <br /> certification programs and internal method validation studies <br /> > To train laboratory associates to achieve the highest Ievels of quality, versatility, <br /> and safety within the individual mobile laboratories <br /> word 6 0 loelmao doe <br /> 1 <br />
