CONCLUSIONS/RECOMNWNDATIONS
' Based on a review of the analytical results of the groundwater samples of MW3-1 through MW3-3 for
BTEX and TPHg, the following conclusions are presented
' • Free phase petroleum product has not been detected in any of the wells on the site
• The TPH-g and BTEX concentrations for all groundwater samples on the February 8, 2000
monitoring event, exhibited a substantial decrease across the board in comparison to the
' concentrations found during the October 22, 1999 monitoring event This suggests that natural
attenuation, which may include intrinsic bioremediation, is continuing in the subsurface
The following recommendations are presented for this site
' • Additional groundwater monitoring should be conducted in order to obtain groundwater
samples for TPHg and BTEX analyses, to complete one year of monitoring
• Depending on the results of the next quarter of monitoring, a risk assessment should be
' conducted to demonstrate that this site poses low nsk to human health and the environment
• Upon compilation of 4 quarters of monitoring data and completion of a favorable industry
standard risk assessment, this site will be a candidate for a "no further actions"
recommendation
1
r
ust WC3 gtr3 da 6
