GEQMATRIX
wells MW3-4 and MW3-5 During the third quarter 2004 monitoring event, TPHg and BTEX
were detected in groundwater samples from monitoring wells MW3-1, MW3-2, and MW3=6.
L Groundwater samples from the downgradient well and the wells near the former,UST
consistently have detections of TPHg and BTEX compounds (Table 3). -MTBE was removed as
a constituent of concern at UST Site No. 3 because it has not been detected in groundwater
samples collected at the site. MTBE was not detected in third quarter 2004 groundwater
Usamples.
{ During third quarter 2004, the highest concentrations of TPHg, toluene, ethylbenzene, and
xylenes were detected in the groundwater sample from well MW3-2, and the highest
concentration of benzene was detected in the groundwater sample from well MW3-6. Time
U concentration plots are included with groundwater elevation plots for each of the site monitoring
wells in Figures 5, 6, and 7..
r
4.0 CONCLUSION
Groundwater gradient, elevation, and groundwater sample analytical results are consistent with
previous monitoring results. The concentrations of TPHg and BTEX fluctuate seasonally, but
have remained within a consistent range during the period of record.
5.0 REFERENCES
L
Geomatrix Consultants, Inc., 2003, Results of Additional Assessment and Remediation
Evaluation of Petroleum Hydrocarbons in Groundwater, Site No. 3 (Site Code 1282-124);
prepared for the Port of Stockton (Geomatrix, 2003).
'Geomatrix Consultants, Inc., 2004, Fourth Quarter 2003 Groundwater Monitoring Report, Site
No. 3 (Site Code 1282-124), prepared for the Port of Stockton (Geomatrix, 2004).
1:TROI£CT16000s16437A0016437-23.doe 4
U
