Attachment C:Data Usability Summary and Laboratory Analytical Reports
Similar results were obtained in both analyses; therefore, the original data were reported and no
data were qualified.
Field Duplicate
Groundwater sample MW-10-WD-W-100105 is afield duplicate of MW-10-W-100105. No
' target analytes were detected in the field sample. The analytes 1-methylnaphthalene and
2-methylnaphthalene were detected in the field duplicate. The results were qualified E because
they were not confirmed in the field sample.
' MS/MSDs
One project-specific MS/MSD sample was collected with groundwater sample MW-12-W-
100105. The %Rs for the target analytes were within the laboratory control limits with two
exceptions: the %Rs for 2-methylnaphthalene were below the laboratory control limits in the MS
and MSD. However, the MS and MSD control limits are advisory because the laboratory has not
' generated the required number of data points to construct a statistical control chart. Therefore,
no data were qualified because the %Rs were within the control limit ranges of other analytes
analyzed by this method.
' Due to a laboratory error, the project-specific MS/MSD was not spiked for TPHd as requested.
The laboratory re-extracted the MS and MSD, and the %Rs were within the required control
limits. No data were qualified.
REPRESENTATIVENESS
Representativeness was assessed through the evaluation of method blank samples, trip and
equipment blank samples, chain-of-custody forms, preservation, and holding times.
Method Blank Results
' Laboratory method blanks were evaluated for any detection above the laboratory MDL. No
target analytes were detected in any of the method blanks analyzed as part of this data set with
one exception: TPHd were detected at 60 micrograms per liter{pg/L} in one method blank.
' TPHd were detected in the associated field sample MW-11-W-100105 at 934g/L. The result was
qualified E because the concentration was within 10 times the concentration detected in the
method blank.
' Field QC Results
One equipment rinsate blank, QA-Tubing-R-100105, was submitted with the samples. No target
' analytes were detected in the field QC sample with one exception. 1-mehtylnaphthalene was
detected at 0.0057µg/L. The analyte was detected in two associated samples, MW-10-WD-W-
100105 and MW-11-W-100105, within similar concentrations. The results were qualified E to
' indicate a potential bias from contamination.
Chain-Of-Custody Forms
' Sample analytical results were evaluated for agreement with the chain-of-custody form. Based
on the evaluation, all samples were received at the laboratory in the appropriate containers and in
good condition with the chain-of-custody form filled out properly.
' C-3
