The phosphoric acid solution is used for anodizing aluminum parts and <br /> the sulfuric acid /sodium dichromate solution is used for deoxidizing aluminum <br /> parts . Once the acid is spent , it must be disposed of as hazardous waste . <br /> Due to specification changes that require tighter concentration ranges , the solutions <br /> must also be disposed of when those ranges are close to being exceeded . <br /> FIGURE 3 <br />
