Addendum to Groundwater Investigation Work Plan
SJC Records Retention Center
February 22, 2019
Page 2
Samples selected for laboratory analyses will be cut above and below the selected sample interval to
separate the sample from the rest of the four -foot tube, capped with Teflon® tape and plastic end caps, and
placed into a pre -cooled ice chest pending shipment to an analytical laboratory under chain -of -custody
procedures. Condor will collect a discrete groundwater sample from the off-site soil boring with a
hydropunch type groundwater sampler or through a temporary casing installed through the drilling rods.
The collected groundwater sample will be placed into appropriate containers supplied by the laboratory and
into a pre -cooled ice chest pending transport to the laboratory under chain -of -custody procedures. Upon
completion of sampling activities, the borings will be filled with neat cement grout from the bottom of the
bore hole to the ground surface using a tremie pipe where necessary.
Collected samples will be analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel (TPH-d) using EPA Method
8015M, and total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH-g), benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes
(BTEX), 1,2-dichloroethane, naphthalene, and methyl-tert-butyl ether (MTBE) using EPA Method 8260B.
If necessary, the soil samples will also be analyzed for total lead by EPA Method 7420 or equivalent for
disposal characterization.
Condor will obtain the appropriate permits from San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
(EHD) prior to conducting the work. A report describing the installation activities will be prepared and
submitted as described in the Work Plan.
If you have any questions, please contact me at; ilane@condorearth.com or (209) 938-1061.
Respectfully submitted,
AL
CONDOR EARTH TECHNOLOGIES, INC.
No. 8795
JoAd. F C
John P.
