PSI Project Number:0575-1504-R1
On
Guggenheim—Stockton,CA
August 16, 2019
Page 1
1 INTRODUCTION
Professional Service Industries, Inc. (PSI) was retained by Guggenheim Development Services, LLC
(Guggenheim) to prepare this Workplan for a subsurface investigation at 1423 Bradford Street,
Stockton, California 95205 (subject site; Figure 1). Guggenheim is proposing to redevelop the property
into a 7-11 convenience store with a fueling station, which would include the installation of
underground storage tanks (USTs). As part of a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment completed by
PSI and dated June 20, 2019, it was uncovered that the subject property was developed as a gasoline
service station known as Casey's Chevron Service Gas Station in 1965 and as Sols Chevron Service in
1970. Based on the review of historical information, PSI considered the former gas station to constitute
a Recognized Environmental Condition to the subject property. As such, Guggenheim requested that
PSI complete a Subsurface Investigation Report to determine whether the former use of the subject
property as a gas station has had an adverse impact on subsurface conditions.
www.intertek.com/building
