Drilling Work Plan
Project No.: 1086
August 29,2019
• Four borings will be installed approximately 200 feet northeast of the up-gradient
edge of the former UST pit. The boring will be located between the previously drilled
CPT-3 and CPT-6, which reported elevated concentrations of petroleum
hydrocarbons between 54 and 55 feet bgs;
• Four borings will be installed approximately 300 feet east-northeast of the up-
gradient edge of the former UST pit and beyond the expected down-gradient edge of
the groundwater plume;
• Four borings will be installed approximately 300 feet east of the up-gradient edge of
the former UST pit and beyond the expected edge of the plume.
At each of the four (4) locations the CPT rig will drill one boring to approximately 120
feet bgs and provide a CPT log. At each of the four locations, a CPT rig will also drill
three (3) discrete boreholes to each aquifer unit and collect a discrete groundwater sample
from the desired depth. Samples will be collected from the middle of the aquifer units.
The depth will be refined based on the initial CPT boring's log. The approximate aquifer
depths are as follows:
— Aquifer Horizon A= 18 to 35 ft bgs
— Aquifer Horizon B =40 to 74 ft bgs
— Aquifer Horizon C = 90 to 115 ft bgs
After sampling, the boreholes will be backfilled to grade with neat cement and capped with
concrete or soil in accordance with SJCEHD requirements.
Schedule &Reporting
Following the completion of the permitting process, Ground Zero will schedule the drilling
work.
The information gathered during this phase of work will be used in preparation of a report of
findings.
The project will be supervised by Dr. Ray Kablanow, the registered professional geologist
responsible for the work.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call or email Jenny Weese (209-522-4119
and jweese @ groundzeroanalysis.com).
Respectfully Submitted,
Raynold I. Kablanow II, Ph.D.
California Professional Geologist#5234
Certified Hydrogeologist#442
Attachments:
Drilling Permit,Permit Work Plan&Associated Site Maps, HS&S and QA/QC Reports
Check for Drilling Permit
