INTRODUCTION <br />At the request of Kim Bui, AdvancedGeo, Inc. (AGI) has prepared this Well Destruction <br />Work Plan (Work Plan) for the destruction of nineteen (19) groundwater monitoring wells <br />(MW -1 through MW -19) and nine (9) soil -vapor wells (V1 through V9) at 2122 South <br />Airport Way, Stockton, California (site). The site and the surrounding area are illustrated <br />in Figure 1. Structures, soil borings and well locations are illustrated in Figure 2. <br />This Work Plan provides procedures for the destruction and abandonment of existing <br />groundwater monitoring and soil -vapor wells at the site. All wells will be destroyed utilizing <br />over-drilling methods. All well destructions will be performed in accordance with San <br />Joaquin County Well Standards (February 2005). <br />2.0. PROCEDURES <br />As required, a health and safety plan will be prepared in accordance with Occupational <br />Safety and Health Guidance Manual for Hazardous Waste Site Activities (National <br />Institute for Occupational Safety and Health Administration, U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. <br />Environmental Protection Agency, 1985). Prior to drilling activities, each proposed drilling <br />location will be clearly marked, and utility clearance obtained through Underground <br />Service Alert. Well abandonment/destruction permits will be obtained from the SJCEHD; <br />additionally, the SJCEHD will be notified a minimum of 48 -hours prior to commencement <br />of well destruction activities. <br />Prior to well destruction activities, all wells will be checked for total depth and well integrity <br />using a Solinst water level meter.
