wood. Tank Assessment Page Tank Name/marking: Tank No. 14, 1,000 Gal. ConVault Waste Oil Tank Tank age 192(k)(3): —32 years old Remaining service life 192(k)(11): at least 5 years Tank Construction (22 CCR §66265.192(k)): Shape: Rectangular, single compartment Orientation 66265.192(k)(1): Horizontal with a 1,000 gallon capacity manufactured by Bambacigno Steel Company for ConVault. Location (above/below ground): Above ground storage tank (AST) see Attachment 1, Figure 1 for site specific location. Material of construction 66265.192(k)(2)(A): The tank is welded steel encased in geomembrane and concrete and rests on two integrated concrete support legs. It is designed to hold and store flammable liquids. The tank design (66265.192(k)(2)) has been tested by the manufacturer (Bambacigno Steel Company) and is Underwriter's Laboratories (UL) listed (No. 410231). Although not listed specifically, it was constructed with features now identified by UL 142 (aboveground tanks for flammable and combustible liquids) and UL 2085 listings. These include a welded steel, primary tank, jacketed secondary containment, insulation for fire resistance and protection, and vehicle impact and ballistic impact resistance. See manufacturers drawing in Attachment 3. Thickness and method used to determine 66265.192(k)(2)(B): The steel primary tank is 1/8 inch (10 gauge) thick according to product specifications from the manufacturer and stamped markings on the UL tag on the tank. NOTE: Wood was unable to identify a means of determining the thickness of the primary tank that did not involve destructive testing of the system. The welded steel tank is encased in concrete. There is no means to reach the tank without removing a portion of the concrete and cutting the polyethylene liner wrapped around the tank. The nozzles are rigidly attached and cannot be removed. Lining material &thickness (if applicable): Not applicable. The interior of the primary tank is not lined. Corrosion Protection equipment 66265.192(k)(5): The steel tank is wrapped (jacketed)with 30-mil high density polyethylene to prevent external corrosion. The material handled in the operation of the waste oil tank, i.e., used oil, is generally non-corrosive.
