Waste
Antifreeze Tank

Overhead view:

See Attachment 3 manufacturer’s drawing.

(Include all measurements. Does not need to be to scale)
Cross sectional (lateral) view:

See Attachment 3 manufacturer’s drawing.

(Include all measurements. Does not need to be to scale)
Please provide a drawing of the seismic/hydrostatic anchorings used and their
spatial relationship to the tank.

Anchoring Assembly Description
The tank is seismically restrained using a SII tank seismic restraint system
recommended for SII 35 – 500 gallon dual containment tank (DCT) systems. The
anchor system is constructed from angle iron (3”x3”x1/4” thick) and 7X19
stainless steel aircraft cable (1/4-inch diameter). Structural calculations for the
DCT system were prepared by Associated Design & Engineering, Inc. and are
presented in Attachment 3.

At a minimum provide the following:
Calculation of the seismic load of the tank:
0.63 kips (ASCE 7-16) (Attachment 3)

Calculation of overturning moment of tank
17.78 k-in (ASCE 7-16) (Attachment 3)
Safety Factor: 7.07 (ASCE 7-16)

Demonstration that the resisting moment is greater than the overturn moment:
Safety Factor = (resisting moment/overturning moment) = >> 2
